Buddha (In The Rain)

Six hours ago my whole life was changed
My entire future was re-arranged
Now I assume the truth, much to my pain
And I walked away, And left Buddha in the rain

Picking up after you
Is all there’s left to do
Would I do it all again?
Well, I can, and I would
Though I don’t know that I should
But I might, and I will
Until there’s nothing left of me to kill
Running forward until time stands still
Well, I will…
I would do it all again…
But I wouldn’t end it
With Buddha in the rain

Buddha was me, you see
And it was all I wanted to be
And I was…
A chubby smile, free from pain
Not a chunk of wood left in the rain
Because…
Would I do it all again?
Well, I can, and I would
Though I don’t know that I should
But I might, and I will
Until there’s nothing left of me to kill
Running forward until time stands still
Well, I will…
I would do it all again…
But I wouldn’t end it
With Buddha in the rain
